Cancer medicines explained: chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, supportive care and schemes.
Cancer medicines are oncology territory - prescribed against a biopsy report and a stage, never self-chosen. Here is the honest map of what exists and what each piece does.
Classical rasayana formulations exist for strength and recovery in debilitating illness. In cancer care they belong - if at all - in the supportive lane: after the oncologist knows and agrees, from a qualified vaidya, for appetite, strength and recovery support. They carry no curative claim here, and no classical text's name should be used to sell one.
Ayushman Bharat and state schemes cover major cancer treatment for eligible families; government cancer institutes and regional centers treat at low or no cost. If money is the barrier, the question to ask the hospital is "what schemes apply to us?" - not "what can we afford to skip?"
Real cancer medicines are biopsy- and stage-driven - chemotherapy, targeted drugs, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, plus strong supportive care; schemes exist for cost, and nothing that promises a cure outside oncology should get a rupee or a day.
