There is no kitchen remedy that supplies B12 - home care means eating the right foods daily and taking your supplement reliably.
Home remedies for B12 deficiency are really about food, because no spice, herb or kitchen preparation makes vitamin B12. What you can genuinely do at home is build a daily eating pattern that supplies it, and take prescribed supplements consistently.
If you eat eggs and dairy: one to two glasses of milk or a bowl of curd daily, paneer or cheese a few times a week, and eggs regularly together supply a meaningful baseline. Fortified breakfast cereals and fortified plant milks (check the label for cyanocobalamin) add more.
If you eat meat or fish: fish, chicken, liver, mutton and shellfish are the richest natural sources. Liver in particular is exceptionally dense in B12, though it should be limited in pregnancy because of its vitamin A content.
If you are vegan: fortified foods help but are usually not enough alone. A reliable daily or weekly B12 supplement is non-negotiable - nutritional yeast is only useful if it is a fortified variety, and spirulina, chlorella and 'B12-rich' algae products do not contain usable B12 and can even interfere with testing.
Practical supplement habits: take your tablet at a fixed time daily; do not skip weeks because you feel better - stores rebuild over months. If you are on metformin or long-term antacids, keep your monitoring appointments. Limit heavy alcohol, which undermines both intake and absorption.
What to avoid: do not rely on folic acid or multivitamins with folate but no B12 - folate can hide the anaemia while nerves deteriorate. Do not self-treat symptoms like persistent tingling or unsteady walking at home; those need a blood test now.
Ayurvedic view (interpretive): traditional home practice emphasizes milk, ghee and well-cooked nourishing food for weakness states, which usefully overlaps with B12 nutrition for vegetarians. This interpretive framework has limited evidence and complements, never replaces, B12 replacement.
Remember: home care = B12-rich food every day plus your supplement taken faithfully. Vegans must supplement. Tingling, unsteadiness or memory change is not a home-remedy situation - get tested.

Deficiency is classified by cause - dietary, absorption failure like pernicious anaemia, medicine-induced, or the rare inherited forms.
B12 comes almost entirely from animal foods, so low intake, poor absorption and certain medicines are the real causes.
Milk, curd, eggs and fish are the practical sources; vegans need fortified food plus a supplement - no plant food alone is enough.
Treatment means B12 replacement matched to the cause - tablets for dietary lack, injections for severe or absorption failure - plus fixing the cause.
Oral high-dose B12 works for most people; injections are for severe deficiency, nerve symptoms or absorption failure like pernicious anaemia.
Ayurveda can support digestion, diet and recovery, but no herb contains B12 - replacement with actual B12 is non-negotiable.
